MA Teaching: Elementary Education

The Master of Arts in Teaching, Elementary Education program is a unique program that provides you with the tools necessary to become a successful, well-rounded, and competent instructor. You’ll become a master of multiple subjects at the elementary school level, emerging as a certified teacher who understands that the role of teacher extends far beyond being a source of academic information.

The elementary education program includes the required coursework for a 2042 Multiple Subject credential preparing you to teach all subjects in a California self-contained classroom (K-12).

This program is ideal for students who wish to begin their teaching career in a self-contained classroom (K-12) by earning both a master’s degree and teaching credential. This is the program typically sought by those who wish to teach in a California elementary school (K-6).
