Holguin to begin post on September 2

Brandman University, a private nonprofit institution, has named Pamela Holguin as its Monterey Campus director. Holguin brings 14 years of higher education experience to her new position which begins Sept. 2.

Brandman is one of 145 schools nationwide to make the list

U.S. Veterans Magazine has named Brandman University to its list of Top Veteran-Friendly Schools for 2014. The magazine polled hundreds of colleges and universities for this year’s “Best of the Best” evaluations and Brandman University was one of 145 schools to make the list.

Funds will be used to support active duty military, veterans and other students who rely on assistance provided by Brandman's Office of Disabilty Services
Dr. Loren O'Conner, Chancellor Gary Brahm and Sarah Catz accept Ahmanson Foundation Check

Brandman University has received a generous grant of $99,600 from the Ahmanson Foundation to support the University’s Office of Disability Services-Accessible Education. The grant money will fund the purchase of adaptive technology which includes; note-taking devices, assistive listening devices, closed captioning facilitation, speech to text software, and Braille equipment. “We thank the Ahmanson Foundation for their gracious gift,” said Gary Brahm, chancellor of Brandman University.

Keith Debro, who teaches education courses at Brandman University's Walnut Creek and Fairfield campuses, was honored prior to Major League All-Star Game

Keith Debro, an adjunct faculty member at Brandman University, was honored in a pre-game ceremony before the Major League Baseball All-Star Game on July 15 at Target Field in Minneapolis. Debro was representing the Oakland Athletics after fans elected him through the Target/People All-Star Teacher Program.

“My wife nominated me after seeing an ad in People Magazine looking for dedicated teachers who also have a love for baseball,” said Debro.

Nearly 100% of students surveyed also say they would recommend Brandman

Brandman University’s Palm Desert campus scored highest in a 2014 spring 2 student satisfaction survey administered to Brandman students. Palm Desert was ranked first out of Brandman’s 27 campuses located throughout California and Washington.
