Brandman University's origins lie in a first-of-its-kind initiative created in 1958 to help returning military personnel and working adults transition to new careers. This innovative program provided quality education to a new kind of student: one who demanded the same high academic standards as a traditional university but whose life required greater flexibility and real-world relevance in the curriculum.
Built on this expertise, and Chapman University's century-and-a-half legacy of academic excellence, Brandman University was established to meet the evolving needs of new generations of working students for the next 150 years.
