Curriculum Details

Specific Requirements (2012-13 catalog)

The MBA program consists of two segments. The first segment is the MBA Core consisting of 24 - 36 credits depending upon course waivers. The second segment of the MBA program consists of 12 credits of electives or a designated emphasis area.

Core Requirements (24-36 credits, depending upon waivers):

BUSU 620 Economic Analysis for Managers 3
BUSU 630 Business Process Analysis and Innovation 3
BUSU 650 Corporate Responsibility: Ethics and Sustainability 3
FINU 607 Finance Management 3
HRCU 645 Human Resource Systems 3
MKTU 605 Marketing Management 3
OLCU 613 Seminar in Organizational Dynamics 3
OLCU 615 Organization Development and Change 3
OLCU 632 Leadership and Innovation 3
BUSU 640 Business Strategy and Competitive Advantage Capstone 3

 

Prior to enrolling in the MBA (BUSU 640) capstone course, all core classes must be satisfactorily completed; one core class may be taken concurrent.

Health Administration Emphasis (12 credits)

 

HAUU 601 Healthcare Policy, Organization and Delivery 3
HAUU 641 Law, Ethics and Health Services 3
HAUU 645 Healthcare Economics 3

Plus one of the following courses:

HAUU 602 Innovations in Technology and Information Access 3
HAUU 651 Quality Management in Healthcare 3
