MA in Counseling and PPSC in School Counseling

The Master of Arts in School Counseling program prepares you to serve as a counselor in California public schools for grades K-12 - as a crucial broker of services within the student support system. You will learn topics such as counselor roles and techniques for students of different cultures and backgrounds, ethical guidelines and legal issues, and goal setting. You’ll also learn to create and enhance programs for students that enable them to fully participate in educational and life endeavors.

Students already holding a MA in School Counseling may enroll in a stand-alone PPS credential program.

For students committed to education and interested in providing insight and guidance to our youth – our school counseling program will put you on the path to becoming a credentialed school counselor in California.
