The Master of Arts in Education, Reading program prepares you to be a reading-resource teacher, diagnostic reading specialist or remedial-reading specialist. You’ll learn to evaluate the literacy levels of students from varied backgrounds, and design and deliver a reading curriculum that is conducive to the learning environments of your students.
Students enrolled in the Master of Arts in Education with the Reading emphasis program can earn the Professional Reading Certificate by taking on additional course and having 3 years of experience of teaching in a K-12 public school or equivalent setting.
