Adult-Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioners provide collaborative care in a variety of practice environments including primary care clinics, specialty clinics, nursing facilities, long term care, hospitals, home health agencies and hospice care.
The program prepares the A-GNP at the DNP level and prepares the graduate to be eligible for the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) national certification. Core concepts within this program of study include emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention, diagnosis of acute and chronic diseases, neuropsychopathology, psychopharmacology, and advanced mental health assessment.
