The Master of Arts in Psychology, with a Counseling emphasis, provides a solid foundation for the student pursuing a career in psychologically oriented counseling at the pre-doctoral level. You’ll receive academic preparation for licensure as a Mental Health Counselor in Washington state, membership in the National Board of Certified Counselors and membership in the American Psychological Association. The program also includes an experiential component at an approved internship site.
