WELCOME AMERITAS
Welcome to the Center for Instructional Innovation. This is your destination for on-going support as we work together to serve the needs of both the 21st century world and our students. As the world becomes more global, the need for multi- cultural and bilingual professionals is rising. This is where you come in! As part of the Ameritas team, you are able to use your experience combined with your passion for the Ameritas mission to prepare our students. You know as much as we do the importance of a bilingual community, and you are a part of it!
Here, the BU and AC community can come together to share ideas, questions, successes, and yes- the occasional snares we all sometimes fall into as we work to ensure that the education we provide for our students will serve them today and tomorrow.
Please feel free to browse the resources posted here. Many more will soon be coming, along with multiple opportunities for collaboration on many levels. Soon, we will have live, synchronous discussions along with demonstrations, debates, and simulations.
As we launch the Center for Instructional Innovation (The CII), it is crucial that you recognize how seriously we take our mission: to promote and enhance teaching and learning effectiveness. Education truly is a team sport and no one person can be all things to all students; only by combining our strengths, ideas, issues, and experiences can we, as a faculty and as individuals, move our practice to a higher level.
Ameritas is unique because of our innovative degree programs for Hispanic working adults. Apart from the design and structure of our programs, the innovation at Ameritas is that you as the faculty put your whole heart into it. Just as each student has their own story, so do you, and for that reason you can connect with them, relate to them, and help change their lives for better.
