Credit options—academic, CEU, professional development
Extended Education provides courses that carry academic credit and CEUs in addition to a large portfolio of professional development. For some courses, you will be prompted to choose between academic credit and professional development and may see a price difference. Generally if you will be taking the course for professional development, you will not be expected to complete the same final assessment as those receiving academic credit. In some instances, you will be able to move from professional development to academic credit within one year of completing the course by registering and successfully completing a bridge course.

Recertification opportunities—HRCI, etc.
Many Extended Education courses have been approved for CEUs through professional organizations certifying continuing education for human resource professionals, healthcare providers, and others. Look for the approved CEU possibilities in the course descriptions.
