Daylene Alliman Daylene Alliman, MA, SPHR-CA

Daylene Alliman, MA, SPHR-CA, has been a business consultant for over 20 years specializing in Human Resources, Administration, and Coaching. She is nationally certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resource Management and is also a certified Coach through the Ford Institute.

Daylene has managed and developed the Human Resource function in a variety of high-tech start-up, B2B environments and has been described as an expert in knowing how to take a Company's vision into reality. Daylene specializes in strategic and organizational analysis and development; executive and management level hiring; employee relations and performance management; investigating and resolving hostile work environment claims; coaching, and training. Her expertise includes working with companies undergoing managerial transition and organizational change, and developing programs to improve employee productivity and morale. Daylene has experience consulting for non-profit and private entities in Monterey, San Jose, and San Diego, California and Portland, Oregon.


Troy Aykan Troy Aykan, Esquire

Troy Aykan, Esquire, Attorney at Law, received his MS in Food Science at Chapman University and a J.D. from the same institution. He successfully passed the Bar Exams in both, California and Arizona. Troy has worked in the food industry for about 10 years, five years of which has been in the field of Food Regulations. He taught Food Laws & Regulations at Cal Poly Pomona, and teaches Government Regulation of Foods at Chapman University.


Joe BerdarducciJoe Berarducci, MA 

Mr. Berarducci's formal Orff Schulwerk training includes Levels I, II, III as well as Kodaly Level I certification. Joe has served as a consultant and instructor for music methods courses for elementary teachers, teaches choral techniques and adjudicates choral festivals, oversees graduate projects and papers related to elementary curriculum at Canadian universities, including University of British Columbia. A prolific composer of recorder and percussion arrangements, his publications can be found as well in the national Orff Echo journal. Joe has presented over 300 workshops and taught Orff levels throughout Canada and the U.S. Named "teacher of the year" more than once, Mr. Berarducci, who is truly dedicated to assuring that all students received a full arts education is known for his ability to inspire and instill confidence in all of his students.


Mark Berger Mark Berger

Mark is Principal of Mark Berger and Assoc, an organizational change consulting firm. The focus of their service includes building organizational capacity and effectiveness, strategic planning, coaching and team development, and executive search. Mark teaches courses for Nonprofit Management Solutions and has also taught at Cal State San Marcos and Austin Community College.

Sam Bresler Sam Bresler, Ph.D., SPHR, CCP

Sam is currently supporting SAIC in a Consulting role, having served most recently as the company's Vice President for Human Resources, Learning and Leadership Development, and prior to that position, as Vice President, Human Resources for their Western Region. He has more than 31 years of experience in HR. A "Life Certified" SPHR, Sam is Past President of the national SHRM Foundation Board of Directors. He is also a member of the Center for Creative Leadership's San Diego Board of Councilors, and is currently serving on the Executive Advisory Board for SkillSoft. Sam is an adjunct faculty member in Chapman University's Human Resources graduate degree program.


Jane BrightJane Bright, SPHR  

Jane Bright's career in Human Resources spans more than twenty years. Jane has held the positions of Vice President of Human Resources and Human Resources Director for manufacturing, technology, engineering and service organizations. She manages her own consulting firm and, as principle of Bright Group Human Resources, has provided HR generalist support to client companies that range in size from $100 million to $500 million annual revenue. Jane has also been the Chief Financial Officer of a non-profit organization for the past eight years. Jane has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Human Resources Management from California State University, Northridge. She has been teaching the SHRM Learning System as preparation for the PHR/SPHR certification program for PIHRA and Cal Lutheran University since 2007. Jane lives in the Thousand Oaks area.


Gail Brown Gail Brown

Gail Brown is an instructor, motivational speaker, consultant and coach. She founded her company, Exceeding Expectations, in early 1997, following a 25 year career with the Walt Disney Company in Operations, Human Resources, Sales, Marketing and Special Event Development and Implementation. Gail received a degree in Psychology from CSULB and holds certificates in Motivational Management and Wilson Learning Sales Training.


Beverly Bullis Beverly Bullis, BA Music; MA Interdisciplinary Arts

Mrs. Bullis' formal Orff Schulwerk training includes levels: I, II, and III, Master's level training from Hamline University and extended work at the Orff Institut in Salzburg, Austria. She has trained teachers throughout the United States. Former student of the Peabody Conservatory, and recipient of Outstanding Music Educator Awards, she has served on the 1996 California Visual and Performing Arts Framework Committee. Currently teaching university methods classes and elementary music, her experience and compassionate teaching style garner superior evaluations from her students.


Dennis BusterDennis Buster, SPHR

Dennis is a broadly talented, collegial and highly ethical professional who is now leveraging 20 years of C-level Human Resources experience in his role of founder and President of MyDirectLine.org, Inc. Dennis’ successful international and domestic HR leadership experience, including 15 years managing employee helplines, adds inestimable value to his clients’ employee relations, corporate governance and compliance efforts. He has conducted workplace investigations, resolved scores of difficult complaints, and has effectively represented employers in several industries, interfacing with most of the major unions in North America. Dennis has taught HR-related courses as a member of the adjunct faculty of the California State University system, and has taught courses preparing HR professionals for their PHR, SPHR and GPHR certifications at Brandman University.

Estella is a BLS Instructor and holds a BS in Biology/Chemistry and a MBA. Estella is the owner and an instructor for CPR Breath in it. Her background is in fitness, health care, and higher education. She is certified to provide instruction in any area from fitness instructors to healthcare providers.

Phylicia Cicalo-Aiken is a dynamic Director of Human Resources with over 20 years of HR management experience in the restaurant industry and education. Phylicia received her MS in Human Resources at Chapman University.



Bill Conley Bill Conley

Bill Conley, CFM, CFMJ, LEED AP, IFMA Fellow is owner of CFM2, a Facility Management & Sustainability Consulting company based in Aliso Viejo, California. Conley has more than 25 years of experience in the facility management profession and has been a proponent of sustainable operations for smaller companies. Conley is a member of The IFMA Sustainability Committee and helped developed both the FMP & SFP curriculum for IFMA. Conley received his Certified Facility Manager (SFM) designation from IFMA in 1992 and achieved LEED professional accreditation through the US Green Building Council in 2002. He is also a Facility Management Professional (SFP) and a Sustainability Facility Professional (SFP).


Walter Corrigan Walter Corrigan, MBA, CMA, CFM

Walter is the Director of CMA Programs for the IMA Inland Empire Chapter and is a chapter past president. He has over twenty-five years experience working in a veriety of financial and management accounting positions. Currently, he is a Vice President at Environmental Lighting for Architecture, Inc.. a manufacturer of custom and standard lighting fixtures. He holds a BA in Business Administration-Accounting, with honors, and an MBA-Finance from California State University, Fullerton. He is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and is Certified in Financial Management (CFM).


Jim Coulson Jim Coulson, MBA, SPHR, GPHR, CA-SPHR

Jim Coulson, MBA, SPHR, GPHR, CA-SPHR, holds a life-time SPHR from the Society of Human Resource Management, and an MBA from USC. He has spent his professional career as an international consultant in the field of human resource management, and as an educator in the field. He has taught HR at Chapman University for over a decade, and teaches in our Master of Science in Human Resource degree program. He conducts the Irvine Campus and On-line PHR/SPHR Exam Prep courses and has earned his Global PHR and California certifications.

Rick Flora Rick Flora

Rick Flora is President and General Partner of R. FLORA & ASSOCIATES, a regulatory consulting firm. R. FLORA & ASSOCIATES' clients are manufacturers, distributors, importers, packagers, and analytical laboratories of conventional foods, dietary supplements, cosmetics, and drugs. While we are involved with a number of different regulatory issues, most of our time is spent preparing or reviewing labels and labeling, dealing with GMP issues, registration of drug establishments, drug listing, and resolving issues regarding detained imports. Writing and reviewing labels and labeling probably consumes 60% to 80% of our time.

Jerry combines strong business acumen with a proven track record of successfully managing Treasury Operations and acquiring significant banking and financial services.


Denise Gorman Denise Gorman, CIA, CMA

Denise Gorman is a senior financial executive with extensive experience in transforming finance/accounting functions into highly efficient and effective organizations through the use of technology and organizational development. Ms. Gorman is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). With a broad combination of internal audit, strategic planning, operational accounting, compliance and risk management experience, Ms. Gorman brings a practical business perspective to the classroom. She is an experienced adjunct professor at Webster University, School of Business and Technology who enjoys public speaking to a variety of professional audiences.

Ms. Gorman is currently the Vice President for the Orange County Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and Vice President /Membership Chairperson for the Orange County Chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI).

John Hall John Hall

John holds graduate degrees in psychology and career counseling and teaches Advanced Job Search Skills at UCSD and Outplacement Consulting at Chapman University. John is also a Franklin Covey Certified Coach. He is founder/owner of Hall Career Services in Irvine and has helped hundreds of executive and management men and women through major career transitions.

John has implemented career development and outplacement programs for major southern California corporations. He has been a Career Management consultant and career coach for the past 20 years, assisting management and executive personnel from a variety of industries through successful career transitions. He created and taught the only graduate outplacement-consulting course in the nation as an adjunct professor for Chapman University and taught in the graduate Career Counseling Program at UC San Diego.

John is the author of, and teaches, the popular and critically acclaimed Advanced Career Strategies Certificate program for Chapman University's Extended Education at their Irvine Campus.  


Paul Heising Paul Heising, MBA

Paul Heising, MBA, provides strategic and marketing consulting to food and consumer packaged goods companies. His focus area is strategic planning, product positioning, new product development, launch strategies, channel expansion and financial analysis. Paul's background includes significant experience in senior management for public and privately held corporations, including Con Agra Foods, Inc., The Dial Corporation, and Bayer, Inc. At Con Agra, a Fortune 500 Company, he was Vice President and helped build and grow a number of consumer businesses, including Healthy Choice and Orville Redenbacher's Popcorn.

John Hulebus, MBA, SPHR, has over 30 years professional Human Resources experience. He has served as Vice President of Human Resources for large healthcare and manufacturing organizations and has consulted with numerous companies in telecommunications, healthcare and manufacturing. A graduate of the University of Southern California, John achieved his MBA at California State University, Los Angeles. He is published in several professional journals, has taught on the graduate level for several universities and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources.


Stefan Jaskulak Stefan Jaskulak, MBA, CTP

Stefan Jaskulak, MBA, CTP, is the Deputy Chief Financial Officer of the City of Atlanta, responsible for Treasury, Controller, Risk Management and Revenue. Previously, Stefan was Director of Cash Management for the City of Los Angeles, receiving the AFP Pinnacle Award, the Alexander Hamilton Award and the Adam Smith Award for the banking conversion project. Prior to joining the City of Los Angeles, Stefan was Assistant Treasurer/First Vice President of Corporate Finance at IndyMac Bank overseeing treasury operations, structured finance and treasury systems. His experience spans the public and private sectors in the United States in addition to consulting in The Netherlands with over 20 years in the finance profession and more than 10 years of Treasury experience. He earned his CCM in 1999 and teaches the CTP preparation course at Brandman University.

David Kalish David Kalish, SPHR

David Kalish, SPHR, is Chief Human Resources Executive for The Centinela Group, a sales and administrative management firm with multiple locations in North and South America. He brings over 40 years experience in all facets of human resources in both the public and private sectors. He has worked in both Japanese and American corporations. He ran his own successful consulting firm for three years.

He holds a BS in labor relations and an MBA from the California State University at Long Beach. He is an active member and past board of director's member of the Professionals In Human Resource Association (PIHRA) on the local level and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) on the national level. He holds the Certification of SPHR from the Human Resources Certification Institute. He is an adjunct professor in the School of Management and Economics at UCI as well as on the faculty of the HR Certificate Program at Cal Poly Pomona. He is a member of the Human Resources Management Advisory Board for the School of Business at CSULB.


Kathleen Kemmer Kathleen Kemmer, SPHR-CA, MSHR, MAOL

Kathleen Kemmer, SPHR-CA, MSHR, MAOL, has more than 20 years of management and consulting experience in small, mid-sized and Fortune 500 companies across a variety of industries, including high tech manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, electronics, hospitality and financial sectors. She is also certified to administer and interpret a variety of management, leadership and team-based assessment instruments.


Diane Kincheloe Diane Kincheloe, CPP

Diane has been in the payroll field for over 15 years. She is currently the Payroll Manager at the Rancho Santiago Community College District. Diane is an active member of the American Payroll Association and has served as the Secretary on the Board of Directors for the Orange County Chapter.

Tracie Kraftenberg Tracie Kraftenberg, CIA, CFE

Tracie is a Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Fraud Examiner with over 9 years' experience as an auditor and audit manager in government, financial services, and higher education. She has designed, developed, and delivered audit training courses on data analysis, audit and investigative interviewing skills, flowcharting, and financial system reporting. Her audit career is supplemented by an additional 10 years' work experience in several different industries.

Tracie holds two Bachelor of Science degrees (Accountancy and Computer Information Systems) from Arizona State University. She is the 2001 Walker Award winner for achieving the highest score on the CFE certification exam, and is a 2003 Certificate of Excellence winner for performance on the CIA exam. She is currently employed in Stanford University's Internal Audit & Institutional Compliance function.


Ray Lacasse, MBA, SPHRRay Lacasse, MBA, SPHR

Ray began his career in Finance holding Controllership positions with two Santa Barbara County firms. In 1990, he put accounting and finance on hold and chose to work full-time in various HR Management positions in a variety of industries- electronics, publishing, foods and government contracts. He led HR for Ruiz Foods (El Monterey Brand) during a dramatic growth period as the Number 1 Mexican Frozen Food Company in America.

Ray graduated from Salem State (MA) with a degree in Business Administration and an MBA from Golden Gate University. He was a Board Member of Santa Barbara Human Resources Association for three years including President for the year 1993. He also taught several HR courses at UCSB and business courses for West Coast University.

Ray also served on the Board of Directors for the Tulare/Kings Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and is an Advocate for the Santa Barbara County Hmong Community.

Ms. Lambert has a Bachelor’s degree, Magna Business Administration and is a Certified Payroll Professional with over 30 years of multi-state payroll experience. Ms. Lambert has lectured extensively throughout the United States on payroll administration and compliance issues for clients that include ADP, CCH Incorporated, Ceridian Employer Services, Fox Studios, County of Riverside, Sun Microsystems and others. She has authored, co-authored or edited numerous payroll publications and newsletters. She is the author of this Practical Payroll On-line curriculum.


Lenore Lowe Lenore Lowe, MA

Lenore Lowe was appointed Executive Director of Nonprofit Management Solutions in 2010. She joined NMS as the Director of Training and Organizational Development in 2008 after nearly fifteen years as an NMS senior affiliated consultant. She has worked with a diverse cross-section of San Diego’s nonprofit sector in her twenty-five years of experience, including several years as Communications Director for Planned Parenthood of San Diego and Riverside Counties. A native San Diegan, Lenore holds a Masters of Education from the University of San Diego and is an alumna of LEAD San Diego.


Mary Ann Marcuzzi Mary Ann Marcuzzi, MA, MPA, SPHR

Mary Ann Marcuzzi, MA, MPA, SPHR (Life Certification), is the HR Manager for Beckman Coulter, Inc., a global biotech company in Carlsbad, and is a "Life Certified" SPHR. She has over 20 years of HR management experience at high tech and healthcare organizations such as Northrup Grumman and Cedars Sinai Medical Center. She has been an adjunct college faculty member since 1986, teaching for the California State University system and, beginning in 1993, for Chapman University's M.S. Human Resources graduate program. Mary Ann has been teaching SHRM course since 1994.


Dana Marshall Dana Marshall, SPHR

Dana Marshall, SPHR, has over 17 years of management and consulting experience in Organizational Development and Human Resources Management. She holds a BA in Psychology from the University of California at Santa Barbara and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). She is co-owner of CSI HR Group, LLC, a human resource consulting firm in Monterey, California.

Dana has managed both generalist and specialist Human Resource functions, both in Silicon Valley high technology companies and companies of various size and industry on the Monterey Peninsula. She has experience with both start-up and well-established organizations, as well as working with large and small teams. Vicki McIntyre, CIA, CPA Vicki McIntyre, CIA, CPA

Vicki McIntyre is an Associate Consultant with the Lyndon Group, specializing in enterprise risk management, governance and compliance. With a broad combination of internal audit, public accounting, regulatory supervision and financial, compliance and risk management experience, Ms. McIntyre brings a practical business perspective to the classroom. She has routinely performed staff and senior management audit, risk, governance and compliance training and enjoys public speaking to a variety of professional audiences.

Ms. McIntyre is currently the Western US District Advisor for the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and a two-term past President of the Orange County Chapter of the IIA. She Co-Chaired the IIA Western Regional Conference held at Disneyland in 2002, is a Quality Assessment Review Team Member, has served two years on the IIA’s “Chapter of the Future” task force and was the IIA Orange County Chapter’s Auditor of the Year in 1995 and 2003.

Robert Mermelstein Robert Mermelstein, MBA, CCM

Robert Mermelstein, MBA, CCM, held several, senior level treasury positions for multi-national corporations during his 15 years in Treasury management. Currently, Robert is in-charge of global treasury operations for a corporation in the consumer goods industry serving its customer base in over 100 countries. Robert earned his Masters of Business Administration from the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from San Diego State University. Robert is also a Certified Cash Manager and is active with the Association for Financial Professionals.


Kent Morris Kent Morris, MBA, CTP

Kent Morris, MBA, CTP, is a financial professional with extensive experience in both private and public sector treasury operations. In addition to his MBA & CTP, Kent has successfully passed the first two levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exam and is registered to sit for the final level 3 exam this May. He has a vast knowledge of the collection/disbursement system, electronic commerce, investment & debit strategies, cash flow analysis, ethics, banking relationships, and credit analysis. Kent is the Investment Officer for the City of San Diego and before that worked for UBS Painewebber Investments Group. He has his MBA from San Diego State and has taught the Chapman University CTP review course since its inception in Spring 2004. He is an active member of the National Association of Financial Professional and its local San Diego Chapter.


Steve Murphy Steve Murphy, MS, SPHR

Steve Murphy, MS, SPHR, is the owner of Murphy Performance Strategies (MPS), a performance consulting firm specializing in individual and organizational performance improvement strategies and human resources consulting worldwide. A "Life Certified" SPHR, Steve has over 20 years HR experience. He has served on the San Diego SHRM chapter Board of Directors and is active in other professional associations. Steve is a member of Chapman University's adjunct faculty in the M.S. Human Resources degree program.

Katie Nelson Feicht Katie Nelson Feicht, Ph.D.

Katie Nelson Feicht, Ph.D. heads up Asta Food Research, a company providing product development and quality control consulting to the food industry for over twenty years. Kathleen and the staff at AFR have provided service to hundreds of clients, ranging from Fortune 500 companies, to small start-ups. She has worked with companies in the United States and internationally to identify, develop, and position bakery products, sauces, salad dressings, beverages, seasoning blends, and frozen foods, for both retail and foodservice. She has worked with various companies in, and serving, the weight control industry engineering products to specific calorie, fat, carbohydrate, protein, and fiber contents.


Anita Nygaard Anita Nygaard, MHROD, SPHR-CA

Anita Nygaard, MHROD, SPHR-CA, has nineteen years of diverse Human Resource experience including hands-on management and consultation for Fortune 100 global organizations, including Wells Fargo Bank, MCI Communications, Siemens and Broadcom. For the past six years, Anita has provided expert advice as an HR Consultant to over 150 companies focusing on areas including Employee Relations, Organizational Planning, Management Development, Workers' Compensation, Benefits and Compensation.

Anita obtained a Master's degree in Human Resources & Organization Development from the University of San Francisco and an undergraduate degree in Industrial & Labor Relations from Cornell University. She was designated as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) originally in 1998 by the Human Resources Certification Institute. In 2008, she re-qualified for SPHR designation and also obtained designation as a California Human Resources Professional (SPHR-CA). She completed 90 hours of training with the Coaches Training Institute, and is an active member of SHRM and PIHRA.


Michelle Peard Michelle Peard, SPHR-CA

Michelle Peard has more than twenty years of experience as a Human Resource professional. Michelle has consulted and instructed human resource professionals and business leaders in the manufacturing, non-profit, engineering, technology, bio-medical, and service industries. She served as President of the San Diego chapter of the American Society for Training and Development and received a Leadership Award for Excellence for her service. She has earned both her SPHR and CA certifications and instructs both of the exam preparation courses. Michelle is a certified DISC® instructor. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a Certificate in Transportation Demand Management.

Anuradha Prakash, PhD. Professor and Director of the Food Science Program, Chapman University. Anu teaches, advises students and conducts research in various areas of Food Science. She also has personal experience with development of an entrepreneurial food business.

Judee PronovostJudee Provonost, MA Reading Education

Judee's formal Orff Schulwerk training includes Levels 1, 2 and 3. She is currently teaching in the Jurupa USD, integrating music and movement in the elementary classroom. She belongs to a local Recorder Society, has a strong background in piano and choral, teaches dance for Sons of the American Revolution, has taught theatrical renaissance, students grades 4-6, and is active as a movement instructor all around the southern California area. Judee's gentle approach and love for teaching creates much confidence in her students.


Mery Propster Mery Propster, SPHR 

Mery Propster, SPHR, currently specializes in organizational change management through her own consulting firm; Segue Solutions. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of San Francisco in Human Relations and Organizational Behavior and was awarded the lifetime SPHR designation in 1996. She is a long time member of both the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and Professionals in Human Resource Association (PIHRA) where she currently serves as Vice-Chair for District 6 and as a voting member of PIHRA's Board of Directors.

Prior to retiring and opening her own firm, she spent over two decades in increasingly responsible Human Resources management positions with two Fortune 50 high technology firms in California and Arizona.


Richard Propster Richard Propster, MA, SPHR-CA

Richard Propster, MA, SPHR, and his wife Mery currently specialize in human resources and organizational change strategies through their consulting firm, Segue Solutions. He holds a Bachelor of Vocational Education degree from California State University at Long Beach and Masters degrees from Pepperdine University and the Claremont Graduate University.

Prior to retiring in 1998, he dedicated over thirty-one years to municipal government including over two decades as a department head with responsibility for a diverse population of over 100 employees and a multi-million dollar budget. He has additionally taught at the adult school, post-secondary and university levels since the late 1960s.


Doug Sjoberg Doug Sjoberg, SPHR

Doug Sjoberg, SPHR (Life Certification), has been teaching this course for Chapman University since l994. He has over 35 years of HR management experience in both the public and private sectors, including wide experience as an HR generalist and manager. Doug currently manages his own training services firm that provides training workshops.

Currently the Payroll Manager at the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Mr. Wakeling has over 30 years of experience as an accountant and payroll professional. He earned his Certified Payroll Profession (CPP) designation in 1999. He is a graduate of the University of Nevada and received his Master of Accountancy degree from Brigham Young University.


Kristin Walle Kristin Walle, Ph.D., CCM

Kristin Walle, PhD, CCM, has extensive domestic and international treasury experience working in Fortune 500 and mid-cap companies. She is currently employed by ADP where she is Vice President, Treasury & Trust Operations. In this role she oversees all client fund treasury and trust accounting activities including cash and risk management, funds recovery, loss prevention, and banking relations. Kristin holds a MBA and Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine University. Her doctoral research analyzed CFOs that transitioned successfully to the CEO role. She holds both the CCM credential and Accredited ACH Professional designation. In addition to the CTP review course Kristin teaches finance and management courses in various universities in southern California.


Lucia Watson Lucia Watson, CPP

Lucia is a Certified Payroll Professional who holds a degree in Organizational Behavior from the University of San Francisco. She has over 15 years experience as a payroll professional and has been certified since 1995. Lucia has worked for both private and public sector employers. She has also served in various capacities for the Northern California Payroll Conference and is currently President of the East Bay Chapter APA.

Barry Weinstein Barry Weinstein

Barry Weinstein is the owner and president of Barry M. Weinstein & Associates, providing commercialization support for new food product ventures.  He has over twenty-five years of experience in process development and project management in the O-T-C, food and personal care products industries.  He holds Masters and Bachelors Degrees in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering from Rutgers University and has a proven record of building and directing successful cross-functional project teams. He holds 5 processing patents on agglomeration and saponification technologies and is the author and instructor of multiple continuing education and university extension programs.


Ron Weissmann Ron Weissmann, MS-HRM, SPHR

Ron Weissmann, MS-HRM, SPHR, is the HR Manager - IT at Coventry health Care in West Sacramento, supporting nearly 300 IT personnel in multiple facilities in California, Texas and Utah. Prior to this, he was the Regional Human Resources Director for Airgas Northern California & Nevada, Inc., overseeing human resources activities for employees in multiple locations in California and Nevada, including two locations with employees represented by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.

Prior to being hired at Airgas, Ron was a Human Resources Representative for Foundation Health Corporation, and was a Personnel Manager and Transition Assistance Manager for the United States Air Force, the former was an active duty assignment in three countries (England, Germany & U.S.), and the latter as a civil servant. He has more than 20 years of public and private sector HR experience, and over 30 years supervisory experience.

Ron has facilitated certification preparation classes with Chapman University for many years. He also led certification study groups in the Sacramento Area Human Resources Association (SAHRA), a chapter organization with nearly 800 members, affiliated with SHRM. He attained his SPHR in 1992 and has a lifetime certification. He has been a member of both SHRM and SAHRA since 1992, and was the chapter president of SAHRA in 2001.

Warren Widicus, PhD.  President and CEO WWidicus Consulting, LLC.  Warren has recently retired from leading Food R&D at Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Quaker Oats and Campbell Soup.  He is currently consulting in the areas of innovation, product and positioning development, and leadership development in the food industry.

Victoria Young, PHR, is president of VMY Consulting Services and has over 25 years of experience in HR-related fields in both the public and private sectors. She currently serves on the board of the North County Personnel Association. Victoria has taught SHRM courses for five years. 


 


Jimmy Zepeda Jimmy Zepeda, BA

Jimmy Zepeda is a Senior Manufacturing Consultant. His also a highly experienced educator in the field of manufacturing and materials management, and a trainer and implementer for the MFG/PRO manufacturing system from QAD, Inc. Previously, he was an Applications Consultant and Project Leader for Origin Technology in Business, where he provided post-sales implementation consulting and training in both English and Spanish. Prior to that assignment, he was President of his own consulting firm, Materials Manager for Newport Labs, Implementation and Training Consultant for Madic/Compufact, Project Leader for Hughes Aircraft, and Project Leader for Inventory Control systems for McDonnell-Douglas Commercial Aircraft.

Mr. Zepeda earned a BABA in Finance from California State University Fullerton. He has taught many courses at the college level in Systems Management, Management Information Systems, and Materials Management at Orange Coast College, Cal State Fullerton, and University of California Irvine. He maintains a college level teaching credential from the State of California. He has also taught APICS Certification courses on many occasions for APICS chapters all over the Western United States and in Mexico.
