Applying for Financial Aid

Steps to Applying for Financial Aid

 

checkbox Complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 2
Use Federal School Code: 041618.
checkbox Undergraduate students residing in California may apply for a Cal Grant. Submit the GPA Verification Form to the California Student Aid Commission by March 2.
checkbox Apply for admission to Brandman University.
checkbox Check mail and your Brandman e-mail for additional information requests.
checkbox Complete an education plan with your advisor and be sure to keep it updated. This information will be used to determine your financial aid award.
checkbox Check the status of your financial aid awards on MyBrandman.
checkbox Accept or decline funds that have been awarded to you on WebAdvisor for 11-12. Awards other than PLUS loans will be automatically accepted for 12-13
checkbox If you are borrowing loans, complete Entrance Counseling and sign a Master Promissory Note.

 

 

Tips about Financial Aid

 

checkmark Complete forms entirely, accurately and in a timely manner. 
checkmark When filling out the FAFSA, use the IRS data retreival process to streamline processing.
checkmark Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.
checkmark Remember to file the FAFSA every year.
checkmark Contact your campus one-stop student services for questions regarding your aid and keep them informed of changes to your course load and which terms you will attend.
checkmark Complete loan Exit Counseling any time you have a break in your enrollment.
