John Hall earned his MA Psychology from Pepperdine University in 1989. For twenty years, he has coached executives and management employees through career transitions. At Chapman University, he developed the only graduate outplacement course in the nation. John has also taught career strategy in the Graduate Career Counseling Program at the University of California, San Diego. He has published articles in the Wall Street Journal's National Business Employment Weekly, The Alumni Newsletter for the Wharton Business School and the Orange County Register has dubbed him the "John Wooden of Career Coaches." John also hosted a talk show, Career Strategies, on Talk2K.com and served three years on the National Board of the Professional Coaches and Mentors Association; He is past-president of the Orange County Chapter. John has been interviewed by national media including Newsweek and numerous radio stations including FOX TV's Morning Show and KNX. He is the author of Adapt? How to Survive and Thrive in the Changing World of Work.
For years, John has volunteered his time and industry expertise with local non-profit and charity organizations. For these efforts, he was honored with the Pepperdine University Waves of Service Award in 2011. Over the past year, John has provided his career strategy expertise tuition-free to hundreds of unemployed professionals enrolled in his 5-day intensive Advanced Career Strategies Workshop held at Brandman University.
