Dias honored for service to child development planning council

Caroline Dias, assistant director of Advising and Retention for the Modesto campus, was recently honored for her service to the Stanislaus County Child Development Local Planning Council at the council’s end-of-the-year luncheon. Dias has served on the council for six years, the last three as chair.

The stage-mandated council provides child care data collection and analysis to assist in public policy issues concerning child care needs in Stanislaus County. They review, monitor, advocate and implement legislation affecting child care in Stanislaus County as necessary. Modesto campus director Richard Carnes also attended the luncheon.
