A group of second-year doctoral students from Irvine were the winners of the 30-second public service announcement challenge that was part of the most recent doctorate of education three-day immersion. The eight students – Sepideh Baniani, Diana Cabori, Robert Mancuso, Christina Marshall, Ross Miyashiro, Susan Pailet, Bob Presby and Bonnie Stockberger – decided to forego heavy topics in favor of reminding folks to smile. Their Animoto video can be seen here.

Friendly competitions at the immersions are used as team-building exercises and give the students a chance to quickly put into action what they’ve learned about organizational leadership.
