Education Expos scheduled at Brandman campuses
Seven Brandman University campuses will host education-hiring events this month. Brandman is partnering with school districts statewide to connect job seekers with full-time, part-time and substitute teaching positions.
The first event is 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, at the Palm Desert campus. More information can be found at https://www.brandman.edu/event/education-expo-palm-desert.
Eight other campuses – Fairfield, Hanford/Visalia, Irvine, Menifee, Monterey, Ontario, Walnut Creek and Yuba City – will host Education Expos on Saturday, Feb. 25. The Modesto campus event is Thursday, March 2. Brandman representatives will also be at education-hiring events at county education offices in Santa Cruz and Placerville on Saturday, March 11. For more information, specific locations and times, go to https://www.brandman.edu/JobsinEducation or https://www.brandman.edu/calendar.
Those attending the Education Expos can also learn about the university’s teaching credential programs and graduate-level programs for those interested in administrative positions. Job seekers should come prepared for interviews and networking opportunities.
Similar events last year connected more than 500 people with career opportunities at 125 schools and school districts.
The California Teachers Association estimates that the state will need 106,000 teachers in the next 10 years to meet the demands of growing school districts and to replace the many teachers reaching retirement age.
