In the past three and half years, One Stop specialist, Jessica Freier, has sat at three desks at two campuses. Her current desk is at Brandman’s JBLM-Ft. Lewis campus in Washington.

The specialist, who works assisting students with financial aid and tuition payments, says creating a calm and peaceful space is important for herself and her students. Freier credits her desktop fountain as the focal point of her desk. She says it’s esthetically pleasing and the sound of running water is soothing. “It’s important to have a relaxed area when discussing money.”

Peaceful fountainThe top of Freier’s filing cabinet is decorated with artwork showing flowers, bamboo and rocks in water. She says she wanted to inject her office with color and a Feng Shui vibe. A gold hippo planter also gives her workspace a punch of fun. “My desk is a reflection of my job. Both are fun and full of variety.”
