Monterey Ed.D. student named associate vice chancellor at West Hills college district
Rita Grogan, a student in the School of Education’s doctoral program for transformational change, will begin her new role as associate vice chancellor of enrollment, management and institutional effectiveness at West Hills Community College District in Coalinga, California, on July 20.
Grogan, a member of the Monterey campus Ed.D. cohort, was chosen after a competitive, national search and credits her success at earning the position to being in the Ed.D. program and developing her leadership skills through a transformational change project centered on customer relationship management.
Grogan leaves Mission College in Santa Clara, California, where she was most recently director of student enrollment and financial services. Professionally, she has been active at the local, regional and state levels and is the current vice president of the California Association of Community College Registrars and Admissions Officers (CACCRAO).
