Ontario campus hosts teacher innovation summit

Brandman RiversideThe Riverside County Office of Education’s Center for Teacher Innovation hosted a collaborative meeting at Brandman’s Ontario campus. About 75 participants attended from local school districts and universities. Prasad Ram, CEO for Google’s Gooru, discussed his company’s support of educational technology endeavors in local districts. Kati Croy from CTC provided key updates from the Commission. Attendees had opportunities to work in collaborative groups discussing how changes to induction assessment were related to teacher preparation, Common Core, and English Language learners. Dr. Lynn Larsen and Dr. Kimberly Greene were in attendance, networking with key leaders in the region and establishing contact with Gooru. “Many thanks to Dr. Raymond Hurst and Patrick Pierson from the Ontario campus for hosting this wonderful meeting,” Dr. Larsen said.
