School of Education alumni heading to new positions this fall
Angela Tos, who completed her doctorate of education in organizational leadership this spring at Brandman, is the new dean of student services at Merced College. Tos has 17 years of experience in counseling at the university, community college and high school levels and most recently served as dean of student services for College of the Sequoias in Visalia. Tos received her bachelor’s degree in communication and a master’s in educational counseling from Fresno Pacific University.
In an article in the Merced Sun Star, Tos was quoted as saying “Every decision I make will be to further benefit our students. I have a passion for the whole area of student services.”
Jeff Copeland, who received his master’s in educational leadership from Brandman University, will start the school year as principal of Digueño Middle School in the San Dieguito Union High School District. He served as assistant principal at Canyon Crest Academy School for four years and in the same position at Carmel Valley Middle School for three years. Copeland worked as an English teacher, mostly in the Vista Unified School District, according to a story in the Encintas Advocate.
