Visalia campus hosts regional ACSA event

The ACSA Admin Group includes Sonia Guiterrez-Mendoza, Visalia campus director; Christina Luna from Fresno State University; Craig Wheaton, Ed.D. Gamma Cohort mentor and deputy superintendent for Tulare County Office of Education; Dave Tonini, former campus clinical coordinator for the Visalia and Hanford campus and executive director of ACSA Region XI; Steve Tsuboi, superintendent of Sunnyside Union School District; Sarah Koligian, superintendent of Tulare Joint Union High School District; Angela Sanchez, a principal in the Visalia Unified School District; Tom Giampietro, retired superintendent and an ACSA representative. Brandman University students and alumni and Visalia campus staff were among those participating in the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) kickoff event of the Region XI student charter.

An expert panel of administrators helped answer the question “Why administration” and Tom Sampietro, ACSA Tulare Charter ambassador, explained the benefits of ACSA membership.

Among those participating were Amanda Richard, a current student in the Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) program at Brandman, and Michaelpaul Mendoza, a graduate of the Master of Arts in Education Leadership and Administration (MAELA) program at Brandman. The event was open to all educators from the Visalia area.
