Brandman University to Close Folsom Campus on April 27

Current students to have education plans prepared to complete their programs with limited interruptions

Brandman University, a private nonprofit institution, will cease operations at its Folsom, CA campus effective April 27, 2014. Current students at the Folsom campus will have plans prepared to continue their programs either online or at Brandman’s Roseville campus located 14 miles away.

“This was a very difficult decision for our senior leadership team to make,” said Gary Brahm, chancellor of Brandman University. “However, with current business conditions now effecting higher education, this change allows us to better align our facilities and staffing with current enrollment. This change is designed around a strong commitment to academic quality, student success and operational efficiency. We are now in a better position to support our students and academic staff going forward.”

Brandman University, part of the Chapman University system, became a separate accredited institution June 1, 2008. This will be the University’s first campus closure. There are no plans to close any of the University’s 26 remaining campuses.
