Responsibilities of Brandman University full-time faculty include teaching, mentoring and service. Research is supported but not required. All Faculty positions are non-tenure track, and normally hired at the rank of assistant professor.  We offer competitive salaries with generous benefits. This position is effective August 2013.

Minimal requirements for the position are:

• Doctorate (or ABD) in a relevant discipline 
• Appropriate teaching credential(s)/permits
• At least 3 years of recent experience working with children 0-8
• Experience with distance learning and academic technology
• Teaching experience, preferably at the college/university level
• Desired:
• experience in early intervention/early childhood special education,
  
• familiarity with California Learning and Development Foundations and Frameworks, and California Early Childhood Educator Competencies
• experience with WASC, NCATE, and/or NAEYC accreditation.

The Brandman University doctoral program is built on a foundation of strong interpersonal skills and relationships with both students and faculty.  The successful candidate must have demonstrated experience and skills necessary to facilitate and lead groups, design and conduct large and small group training, make presentations and publish.

Ability to serve collaboratively on the doctoral leadership team to oversee the planning and implementation of immersions, professional development, program policy, course development, and program evaluation are key responsibilities.  Online teaching experience is desirable, as well as experience in course or curriculum development. Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to details are highly important.  This faculty member will be asked to serve on advancement to candidacy panels, doctoral dissertation committees, and advise other dissertation chairs on dissertation development.

The faculty member will be responsible for oversight/instruction of doctoral courses within the Ed.D. Organizational Leadership program. The position will support faculty and adjunct faculty working in the Ed.D. program.

Minimal requirements for the position are:

• Doctorate in a relevant discipline 
• Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience in leading organizations through transformational change
• Executive leadership roles in organizations; recognized as a transformational leader and innovator
• University teaching experience at the graduate level; demonstrated experience in conducting and guiding research studies and/or experience serving on dissertation committees is highly desirable.
