Brandman University will host a special community celebration marking the opening of its new Riverside campus  (3550 Vine St.) on Friday March 15 at 10:00AM. The ribbon cutting event features tours of the campus with senior university administrators, remarks from Chancellor Gary Brahm and notable community leaders including:

• Rusty Bailey, Mayor of Riverside 

• Andy Melendrez, Riverside City Councilmember

• Cindy Roth, CEO & President, Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce

The Riverside campus began serving students in January as the new home for the existing Moreno Valley campus. Brandman serves some 12,000 students at 26 locations in California and Washington, as well as nationwide through its top-ranked online programs.

“While we are saddened to close the Moreno Valley Campus, where Brandman has been serving the community for over 15 years, this new location in Riverside allows us to better serve our students and faculty,” said Riverside Campus Director Kristin Plapis. “Because we focus on serving non-traditional students with evening and online classes, this new location is ideal for busy working professionals in the Riverside area.  We are thrilled about our new home.”

“As a nonprofit university, our mission is focused on meeting the needs of our students and the community, and we continually evaluate a number of factors to ensure that we are doing so in the most effective ways,” said Brandman Chancellor Gary Brahm.  “After careful consideration and a lot of research, we decided that a new location in Riverside would strengthen our mission and presence in the community.”
