The Bachelor of Science in Computing Technology (CT) provides a sound foundation in information technology principles and practice. Emphasizing the latest practical technologies and transferable experiences in coherent application building modules, the program prepares you to communicate effectively, understand the economic impact on information technology and adhere to a professional standard of ethics.

The Bachelor of Science in Computing Technology program offers three emphases:

  • Information TechnologyLearn to analyze, design and implement IT-based solutions to meet business needs.
  • Business Systems AdministrationLearn to install, test and administrate networking systems with data security features.
  • Project ManagementLearn to plan, structure and manage projects by applying project management and quality assurance skills.

What can you do with a degree in computing technology?

Graduates of the computing technology program are prepared for a variety of positions like IT analyst and designers, network systems administrators, information security analysts or managers, project managers or chief technology officers.

​Admission to the program may be achieved by completing the following requirements:

  • Have at least 12 transferrable baccalaureate-level credits (or the equivalent) from an accredited college or university.
  • Have a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA in all prior college-level coursework.

How to Apply:

Only credit from regionally accredited institutions will be accepted for transfers. International applicants or domestic applicants with transcripts from international institutions must also submit foreign transcripts.

Graduation Requirements (2012-2013 Catalog)

  • A minimum of 120 credits.
  • 36 credits earned in upper-division coursework.
  • Minimum of 32 credits completed in residence at Brandman; 18 of which must be upper -division credits, 12 of which must be completed in students major.
  • A 2.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale at Brandman and transfer work.
  • A 2.0 grade point average in all major and minor coursework. Programs may have additional grade requirements.
  • Resolution of all "Cl" and "l" grades.
  • LBSU 300 Liberal Arts Core Foundations- (Cannot be used as an elective in a major, minor, or certificate program)
  • LBSU 302 Information Fluency and Academic Integrity (Cannot be used as an elective in a major, minor, or certificate program)
