A Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Counseling prepares you to serve as a counselor in California public schools for grades K-12 - as a crucial broker of services within the student support system. You will learn topics such as counselor roles and techniques for students of different cultures and backgrounds, ethical guidelines and legal issues, and goal setting. You’ll also learn to create and enhance programs for students that enable them to fully participate in educational and life endeavors.

If using Option Two in the graduate admissions requirements and have a grade point average between 2.5 and 2.99 in the last 30 graded semester credits (45 quarter units) in either a baccalaureate or post baccalaureate program including credits earned toward a credential, you are required to submit passing scores from one of the following standard admissions tests:
