This course consists of numerous hands-on labs covering several styles of connectors and installation methods, such as epoxy/adhesive, hot melt, anaerobic or pre-polished/splice connectors. This course will discuss, demonstrate, and explore many aspects of fiber optics connectors and termination including multi-fiber and single fiber connectors, connector styles, tolerances, bonding and scribing, polishing and cleansing. The end face verification as well as testing patch cords are discussed.
The Fiber Optics Specialist series is the highest level fiber optic training offered by Brandman University, and is taught only by our most senior instructor. This course requires prior course work and/or experience. Recommended prerequisite courses:
