University Transfer Students

Brandman University welcomes undergraduate students who transfer from other regionally accredited colleges and universities. No matter where you are in the educational system, Brandman helps you apply as many credits as possible toward your undergraduate degree.

Scholarships for Transfer Students

Master of Education Scholarship

Brandman University is offering a $120 per credit scholarship for educators who are seeking their Master of Education degree. The scholarship applies to new students beginning the program during 2013 summer and fall sessions. Students will complete their coursework in a cohort with other education professionals from their local community. A minimum of 15 students is required for a cohort. The scholarship provides up to $3,600 savings on tuition which is prorated over the life of the program. The Master of Education is a 30 credit program and has multiple emphasis areas available including Curriculum and Instruction, Leadership in Early Childhood Education, Instructional Technology, Teaching and Learning and Educational Leadership. Early Advantage Program Summer Break Scholarship

Students at participating community colleges can apply to Brandman while completing their associate degree at their existing school. The Early Advantage Program locks students into the current catalog year, removing the guess work out of which courses will transfer to their academic program at Brandman. Students have access to Brandman student services and advisors who work with them to ensure they stay on track to completing their degrees. Options To Help You Transfer Credits

Associate Degree Block Transfer

Transfer a minimum of 60 semester credits for successful completion of an Associate's degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Associate degrees must be completed prior to being admitted, enrolled and attending the first session in a bachelor's degree program. Please see the full catalog for additional information.

 

General Education Block Transfer

Brandman University accepts CSU or UC IGETC certification (CA), Oregon Transfer or Washington state-approved Direct Transfer degrees or other state's equivalent transfer certification in lieu of its general education requirements (with the exception of LBSU 300), if completed prior to being admitted, enrolled and attending the first session in a bachelor's degree program.

Brandman University has developed partnerships with other institutions to ensure the coursework you've taken is easily transferred to Brandman.

Transfer Guides for Colleges Outside California displays course approvals and articulation related information for colleges outside California.

Search for Transfer Courses by the institution name from where you wish to transfer your course(s) or by the Brandman course you wish to transfer.

 

AP Examination, CLEP and DANTES Equivalencies

Credit is awarded for scores of 3, 4, or 5 on the Advanced Placement Examination (AP Exam).  Brandman grants credit based on the ACE recommended minimum score or higher for selected College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) and DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSST) General Examinations and Subject Examinations. Please see the full catalog for additional information.

Prior Learning Assessment

Use your learning and experience outside of the classroom to earn credit toward completing your undergraduate degree.

Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST)

Brandman will award credit for successful completion of education and training received from the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training for a Basic POST Certificate.
