Assistant Vice Chancellor of Instructional Innovation
BiographyDr. Jennifer Murphy is the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Instructional Innovation at Brandman University. She oversees the Center for Instructional Innovation (CII) whose mission is to promote and enhance teaching and learning effectiveness. The CII maintains all of Brandman’s courses in the learning management system and works with content experts to continuously improve classes. Dr. Murphy provides professional development opportunities both technical and andragogical to all Brandman instructors through the center.
Dr. Murphy holds an Ed.D. in Educational Technology and Leadership from Pepperdine University. Prior to her positions in higher education, Dr. Murphy was a high school teacher in Kansas, California, Washington, Germany and New York and then became a principal in California.
For over 20 years Dr. Murphy created curriculum that engaged the learner and allowed them to showcase their knowledge in innovative ways. She brings her passion for cutting-edge education delivery to Brandman and works to provide professional development opportunities to support innovation at every level.
