Biography

John Pervez has practical knowledge as an educational leader as demonstrated through his professional experience. He has worked as an academic tutor, lecturer, teacher trainer, business consultant, and higher ed manager. John has had the opportunity to publish and present at various regional and international conferences while serving in K-12 and higher education settings both domestically and abroad.
At present, John works as Program Manager for Brandman University’s Online Writing and Math Center (OWMC). In addition to providing administration and mentorship to the team of writing and math tutors, he creates, facilitates, and leads webinars for students, staff, and faculty. By providing vision, leadership, and best practices, John has made it a priority to implement a marketing strategy to promote the services offered and maintained by the OWMC.
John is currently pursuing his doctoral studies in education with an emphasis in organizational leadership. He has earned both of his professional degrees from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Specifically, he holds a bachelor’s degree in English: Literature and Language with a minor in Teaching English as a Subsequent Language (TESL). He also possesses a dual master’s degree in English: Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) as well as Rhetoric & Composition.
