Master of Arts in Psychology , M&FT and PCC Overview

With a combined emphasis in Marriage & Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling, this psychology graduate program explores therapy through a multifaceted lens. Graduates will be prepared to assist diverse communities in a clinical setting to address individual, dyadic, marital, familial or group challenges. This program meets the education requirements for licensure in California as a Marriage & Family Therapist and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). Students will learn systemic and individual models of treatment.

As a student, you will:

  • Diversify your resume as the program meets California's requirements for dual licensure (therapist and licensed counselor)

    Applicants for the MA, M&FT and PCC degree programs must complete the formal application process with all required documents, which include:

    • Completed application
    • Autobiographical Essay
    • Three recommendation forms
    • Signed Ethical and Responsibility Statement form
    • View the Psychology Program Introduction Video
    • GPA: Meet 1 of these 4 GPA options for admission
    • Official transcripts from all regionally accredited institutions where baccalaureate and/or post-baccalaureate coursework was completed or attempted

    Only credits from regionally accredited institutions may be accepted in transfer. Failure to report any previous academic work at another college or university may be considered a violation of academic integrity.
