Single Subject Added Authorization

This program is for teachers interested in adding a single subject credential to a multiple subject credential in order to teach in both single- and multiple-subject environments at a junior high and high school level.

Single Subject Teaching Credential Program Overview

The Brandman University teaching credential program is a single subject credential program, comprised of just one additional class, designed for teachers who already hold a Multiple Subject or Single Subject Credential in California. Broaden your qualifications and gain access to greater opportunities for career advancement without having to complete an additional credentialing program. You will select one content area specialization course and must demonstrate subject matter competence by passing the appropriate CSET exam.

As a student, you will:

  • Develop skills in teaching one specific single subject content area
  • Gain the expertise to teach at a junior high or high school level.
