In-Person Course Format
The first course meeting will be an orientation meeting to go over course expectations and answer any questions you may have before beginning the course. The remaining course meetings will consist of instructor lectures and class discussions. Students should expect to spend 4-5 hours per week on reading and completing assignments in addition to class time.
Online Course Format
This flexible asynchronous instructor-led Blackboard Online course, offers a weekly schedule of assignments, where you will access your course anywhere you have internet access and have set deadlines during the week. There are no set meeting times or dates of when the class will meet nor are there any pre-recorded videos or online lectures for later viewing. The course will consist of weekly discussion board posts, case study assignments, quizzes, exams and a blog post. If you have any questions as you go through the course, the instructor will respond either via email or phone (whichever you prefer) and help you with any topics you need clarification or more information on. All interaction takes place online in the Blackboard classroom Blackboard Demo. Students should expect to spend about 8 hours per week on reading, assignments and exams.

SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP Exam Preparation – HRCU 0047
Earning the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP credential shows that a person has mastered the SHRM Body of Competency and Knowledge and has remained current on Human Resources. SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP certificates elevate the status of the HR profession. A highly valued certification gives a distinct advantage in the job market. Focus is on HR competencies, people, organization, workplace, and strategy.

The appeal of an on-campus class with an instructor is why I chose Brandman. The heavy material is more digestible when opened up for discussion in class and explained with stories and examples provided by the instructor. Dennis' breadth of experience in all aspects of HR, as well as, his likability and ability to review/explain concepts made choosing him as the instructor, and Brandman as the school a very easy decision and one I am glad I made. I would highly recommend Dennis' course to anyone considering a prep class.
The instructor led course was exactly what I needed. It allowed for real-life examples of what we were learning and the opportunity to discuss with peers in the class. Dennis' knowledge was awesome and he always kept the class upbeat...I don't think I'd be able to pass the exam without this course.
