Skills and Leadership Techniques: Covering the fundamentals of project management and beyond, this course reviews the tactical skills that are needed to successfully deliver projects as well as the leadership skills necessary to lead projects to successful conclusions. Students apply project management and leadership principles to real world scenarios. Particular emphases is make on successfully managing and leading diverse and virtual project teams. Designed for transfer of credit to support designated undergraduate IT certificates only.

This workshop is designed to completely cover the fundamentals of managing projects. It introduces participants to more complex topics in project management while it deepens their understanding of planning and controlling processes. Participants discover concepts, tools and ways to manage projects to achieve positive outcomes. They apply these principles and techniques to sample projects and create links to their own projects.
*PDUs approved by the Project Management Institute are calculated at one contact hour per one PDU. Learners who successfully complete the course can earn 24 PDUs/contact hours recognized by the Project Management Institute.
