Make sure you meet our admission requirements

To apply for undergraduate admission, you must have:

  • At least 12 transferable baccalaureate-level credits (or the equivalent) from a regionally accredited college or university. View transfer options.
  • A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA in all prior college-level coursework.

To apply for an Associate of Arts degree, view AA, General Education Admission Requirements.

To apply for RN to BSN, view additional admission requirements.

Brandman's Academic Fresh Start is provided for undergrad students who believe their historical academic performance is not reflective of their current ability to be successful.


Complete all required sections of the application. The same application is used of all Brandman University Undergraduate applicants so check for additional program specific requirements and forms before submitting. If you would like accommodations to help complete the admission application please register with the Office of Accessible Education and Counseling Services.

Your application for admission will be evaluated after we receive ALL required materials. To avoid delays in processing it is important that you submit all documents as soon as possible.

Once all documents have been received, your application will be evaluated and you will be notified by mail of our admission decision. It is your responsibility to be certain that all necessary materials have been received. 



Send us your official transcripts

Provide transcripts from all colleges and universities you’ve attended, including foreign institutions. Please be aware that only credits from regionally accredited institutions will be accepted as transfers within the United States.

Information for International Students and Applicants with Foreign Documents

Brandman University will complete a credential evaluation of international transcripts and supporting documents in order to determine transfer of credit and admissibility.

Brandman University accepts applications from permanent residents and International Students. International students must possess one of the following visa types:

  • A-1 Foreign Diplomatic Personnel
  • A-2 Individuals In The U.S. As Employees Of A Foreign Government
  • E-1 Treaty Trade or Treaty Investor
  • E-2 Spouse/Dependents
  • H-1 Specialty Workers
  • H-4 Spouse/Dependents
  • J-2 Visiting Scholars
  • L-1 Intracompany Transferee
  • L-2 Spouse/Dependents
  • R-1 Religious Worker
  • R-2 Spouse/Dependents

With the exception of F-1, F-2, B1, B2, and J1 visa types, all visa types will be considered on a case by case basis for potential admission to Brandman University.

Applicants must already possess one of the visas that is acceptable to Brandman before we can proceed with the application process. Brandman does not provide assistance with obtaining visas.

To apply for international admission, applicants must complete the admission process and submit the following:

  • Copy of Visa
  • Foreign Transcripts
    Original (or notarized copies) of transcripts in the native language must be submitted along with an International Transcript Translation in English. Please mail all foreign transcripts to the following address:

    Students who have completed a degree must also submit a copy of their diploma in the native language along with an International Diploma Translation in English.
