Brandman University Recognized by U.S. News & World Report for Best Online Programs for Veterans in 2014

Irvine, Calif. (May 20, 2014) —For the second consecutive year, Brandman University, a private nonprofit institution, has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report in its list of 2014 Best Online Programs for Veterans.   Brandman was recognized in the categories of Best Online Bachelor’s Programs for Veterans and Best Online Graduate Education Programs for Veterans.

“We are proud to be recognized yet again for the high quality programs we provide veterans and active-duty service members,” said Gary Brahm, chancellor of Brandman University. “We began this traditional of serving the education needs of military personnel back in 1958 on the grounds of MCAS El Toro and more than 50 years later we continue to offer a superior learning experience for those who have served, continue to serve and their dependents.”

U.S. News & World Report evaluated institutions that were initially ranked in their 2014 Best Online Programs rankings released in January. Those institutions also had to meet all four of the following criteria; offer at least one credit-granting course listed in the Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support; be named a Servicemembers Opportunity College; be certified to accept the GI Bill®; and participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program.  

Brandman currently operates six campuses on active military bases and 23% of its student population declares as active-duty, dependent, reserve or veteran status.
