What Jobs Can I Get with My Degree?

Many health administration leaders work throughout the medical industry managing entire hospitals or clinics, offices or departments, nursing homes and other care facilities. They are responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating services while being able to adapt to changes in industry laws, regulations, and technologies. It is common for professionals to hold graduate-level degrees and although certification is not required in the field, many professionals go on to achieve certification from the Professional Association of Health Care Office Management or the American College of Health Care Administration. Brandman’s School of Nursing and Health Professions also offers a fully-online Graduate Certificate in Health Administration for those who want to enhance their professional portfolios or complement their studies in a related field.

It is important for professionals in this field to be highly analytical and detail-oriented and have strong communication, interpersonal and technical skills. The job outlook for medical and health services managers is highly positive with the Bureau of Labor Statistics reporting projected growth of 23% from 2012 to 2022 [1]. This high demand is being driven by the aging of the large baby-boom population, of which many are maintaining quite active lifestyles which will lead to an increase in demand for medical services. In fact, Forbes listed health administration as one of the eight best master's degrees for career stability making the online health administration master's degree ideal for aspiring professionals. Brandman University helps to educate high-quality, ethical professionals who can fill this need by creating positive and sustainable change within the industry.
