Day of Information for Graduates
Boarding Passes for Graduates
Boarding passes will be emailed the Tuesday prior to the ceremony to your Brandman email account. Information will include the time and location of your ceremony, along with line-up instructions. This paper will also serve as your ticket to enter the line-up area and your reader card on-stage during the ceremony. There is no rehearsal for Commencement.
The student line-up and reception areas are located outdoors without shade. There is no alternate rain location for these events and they will take place as scheduled unless a downpour or electrical storm create a safety hazard.
Please wear appropriate clothing to protect yourself from the sun, apply sunscreen, wear sensible shoes, and drink plenty of water to remain hydrated. Water stations will be provided in the student line-up area. If at any time you do not feel well, please notify a commencement team member in a maroon polo.
Personal Belongings of Graduates
Please be sure to leave valuables, such as purses, cameras, and other items with your family or guests and silence all electronic devices. Brandman will not be responsible for valuables lost. Students will not be returning to the student line-up area following the ceremony.
Special Accommodations for Graduates
Graduates with special accommodation needs are invited to email email@example.com with your request. A commencement team member will respond to your request and work with you to create a plan that suits your needs.

Information for Guests
For our 2020 Northern California commencement ceremony, tickets will be required for guests. Eligible graduates will receive an email invitation to RSVP themselves and secure guest tickets. Ticket allotments per grad will be announced in spring 2020. In addition to your guest ticket allotment, each graduate may request up to 3 additional waitlist tickets* for guests. The deadline to secure allotted guest tickets is May 8, 2020.
*Please note, being added to the waitlist does not guarantee you will receive additional tickets to the ceremony. The additional tickets are based on the number of graduates attending and the number of tickets that are left unclaimed. Children under the age of 2 who will sit on the lap of a ticketed adult during the entire ceremony, do not require a ticket. All other guests will require tickets.
Special Accommodations for Guests
The majority of guest seats at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium is not at ground level. Meaning, most guests will need to walk up some stairs to get to their seats. A reserved section of seats will be available for family members who need accommodations to avoid using stairs. During the ticket reservation process, graduates will be able to designate up to 2 of their allotted guest tickets to be in the accessibility seating area. If your accessibility guest needs a companion, the companion's ticket needs to be part of the 2 allocated accessibility tickets. The remaining guest(s) in your party will be assigned a general admission ticket and seated separately from your accessibility guest(s).
Doors will open 15 minutes early for guests with accessibility tickets, so we highly recommend those guests in your party arrive early to take advantage of this priority seating process. The accessibility ticket holder guest entrance is located at the top of the ADA ramp, which is the far right main door of the Auditorium. The remainder of your guests without accessibility tickets will need to enter the Auditorium when the main doors open to locate general admission seating.
Parking for visitors with physical challenges can be found in the surrounding lots and at select meters. Please make the appropriate arrangements with your group if you need to drop off a guest with physical challenges close to the ceremony site. The drop off location is on 15th Street between I and J and is indicated on the Parking Map provided. If you have any further questions regarding accommodations for guests, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Family and friends from around the globe can view the ceremony via livestream on the Brandman Facebook page.
Parking for the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium is available at the city-run Memorial Garage at 14th and H Streets and privately owned lots within walking distance of the facilities. Parking rates vary by location and event. On-Street parking meters, requiring quarters or debit cards, are also available and surround the Convention Center. Please view the Parking Map for more information.
The university requests the cooperation of all grads and guests in observing strict regulations required for the protection of the Memorial Auditorium. No food, beverages, chewing gum, cigarettes, party novelties, confetti, balloons or non-service pets are permitted. Possession of weapons at Brandman-sponsored events is prohibited, including but not limited to all types of knives, firearms and fireworks.
