Army Foundation Training and Certificate Program Youth

This self-paced training program is designed to help adults who cares for youth in after-school programs learn how to plan and implement a developmentally appropriate program for youth in grades 6 through 12.  The training program is comprehensive, covering the key knowledge and skills needed by staff working in youth programs.  Supervised work experience accompanies the course requirements.

  • Use knowledge of developmental stages to promote safety
  • Create and maintain a safe environment
  • Know and follow emergency procedures
  • Ensure safety of youth on program trips
  • Work as a team to prevent violence

Each course is equivalent to 16 clock hours/1 PDUs/1.6 CEUs

Certificate is equivalent to 224 clock hours/14 PDUs/22.4 CEUs

Academic Credit Opportunity

Successful completion of this certificate program grants six (6) general academic credits.
