Engaging Interactions & Environments: Providing a Solid Foundation for Young Children’s Development

This course is designed to increase participants’ knowledge about the importance of high quality early childhood education and the specific types of environments and interactions that support the development of social-emotional, cognitive, and early academic skills.

Through a practice-based coaching model, participants will learn the following:

  • Research-based criteria for high quality early childhood environments and interactions
  • Strategies for implementing warm, responsive, and instructionally supportive interactions with children
  • Strategies for developing effective environments for children ages 3-8

Engaging Interactions & Environments can be taken as a standalone course without admitting to the university by clicking Register Now.  It can also be taken as part of the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Transitional Kindergarten.
