Christine G. Zeppos, Dr.

Dr. Christine Zeppos is the Dean of Brandman’s School of Education.  She has also served as VPAA and Dean of Education for Argosy University, Dean of Education at Chase College, and Assistant Dean at DePaul University where she served as an Illinois Board of Education Certification Officer and worked closely with Chicago Public Schools. She was the Director of Academic and Administrative Affairs for the Hugh Downs School of Human Communication at Arizona State University and has contributed to successful accreditation efforts with CTC, NCATE, APA, WSCUC and HLC. She is a member of the Board of Institutional Reviewers for the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) and was recently appointed to CTC’s Accreditation Advisory Panel. Dr. Zeppos is also President-Elect of the Independent California Colleges and Universities Council on the Education of Teachers (ICCUCET).

Dr. Zeppos won the 1997 Distinguished Doctoral Degree candidate award for her research on how curricular/co-curricular programs promote diversity and how outreach programs affect the access, persistence and retention of students in higher education.

Dr. Zeppos has been teaching at the university-level for over 20 years primarily at the doctoral level.  Through this experience and through constant interaction with superintendents, educational leaders and business leaders, she became cognizant of the limitations of traditional doctoral programs in producing highly effective transformational leaders which are so desperately needed in today’s society.  Thus, Dr. Zeppos led the charge to create Brandman’s highly regarded Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership with a focus on transformational leadership and change.
