As Assistant Professor of Organizational Leadership and Human Resources, Dr. Mazur has been teaching first at Chapman and now Brandman for over 10 years. She has developed courses in leadership, organizational behavior, human resource management and organizational research in the blended and online formats; and facilitates academic excellence by mentoring faculty teaching those courses.
In addition to teaching, Dr. Mazur is an experienced human resource professional who has worked and consulted for both profit and non-profit firms in the private and public sectors. Her business experience includes strategic human resource management, leadership development and management training, organizational development and change, compensation and reward programs, and career counseling.
In teaching and course development, Dr. Mazur believes it is essential that students understand how the theory they are learning applies in the real world. As students share their experiences in different industries and organizations, it is apparent how diverse and interesting workplaces are. She finds one of the great benefits of teaching is how much she learns from her students and the rich variety of life experiences they bring to class.
