Congratulations Graduates of 2020
Brandman University extends heartfelt congratulation to its graduates on their accomplishments.
Officials in California and Washington have issued stay-at-home orders to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Although we don’t know whether those orders will remain in effect for the dates when Commencement events are scheduled to take place, we cannot assume it will be safe to participate in large gatherings at that time.
Brandman has decided to cancel our 2020 Commencement events as a precaution to protect community health. Your safety, as well as that of your families, friends, and our communities, is and will remain our top priority.
Brandman is exploring ways for our Brandman community to recognize your accomplishments. We hope to provide you and your family members with a virtual opportunity to celebrate, even if we cannot be together in person. The commencement team will send communications to your Brandman email in the coming weeks regarding our plans. Additionally, we would like to extend an invitation to our 2020 graduates to participate in one of our spring 2021 ceremonies. We plan to resume in-person events next year if it will be safe to gather at that time and social distancing restrictions have been discontinued.
While Brandman is exploring virtual means of celebrating your accomplishments in the near future, we would like to extend an invitation to our 2020 graduates to participate in one of our spring 2021 ceremonies. We plan to resume in-person events next year if it will be safe to gather at that time and social distancing restrictions have been discontinued.
No. We do not recommend adjusting your Ed Plan or unregistering from courses. Please stay the course, as completing your degree will provide you with greater professional opportunities in the near term. We are please to extend an invitation to our 2020 graduates to participate in one of our spring 2021 ceremonies. We plan to resume in-person events next year if it will be safe to gather at that time and social distancing restrictions have been discontinued.
Yes, Brandman will coordinate with our ticketing company to process refunds for all paid tickets in the coming week(s).
If you booked a hotel room through one of our Brandman room blocks, we will notify the hotel on your behalf and have your room cancelled. If you booked your own hotel room, please work directly with that hotel to request your cancellation.
Some graduates may prefer to keep their regalia for Brandman's virtual ceremony, photos, celebrating with your family, and attending a spring 2021 ceremony. The following is the updated return policy information from our regalia vendors.
Undergrad & Master's - Balfour has updated their return policy for souvenir regalia purchases. Balfour will offer a refund for unopened regalia packages, minus original shipping charges. If you would like to return your regalia, please ship it to: CB/Balfour, 2316 Skyvue Lane, Manhattan, KS, 66502. Please include the following in your return package: a lettering requesting a refund, your name, address, phone number, and email. Once your return shipment is received, a Balfour customer service representative will call to credit your original payment method, as Balfour does not keep credit card information on file.
Doctoral Rental – Following Brandman’s virtual ceremony, you should return your rental regalia using the provided return shipping label. Please note, your rental regalia needs to be returned by July 23, 2020. Currently, Oak Hall is not accepting refunds for rental regalia.
Doctoral Custom Purchased – Currently, Oak Hall is not accepting returns for refund for custom doctoral regalia.

Please note, when ordering announcements and selecting your ceremony, you have the option to choose Basic Text, which will exclude time, date, and place from your announcement text. Additionally, if ordering a diploma frame, be sure to select a Brandman University Diploma Frame when ordering (fits 11" x 14" diploma).

All flower orders with graduation bouquets will be automatically refunded in the coming week(s). If you have any questions, please email: email@example.com.
Our conferral fee is not related to the commencement ceremony, so students will still need to pay the conferral fee upon completion of course requirements. The conferral fee is associated with the process of Brandman validating your degree as complete, which also includes the printing and shipping of your diploma and a complimentary official transcript.
Students do not need to apply for degree conferral. The conferral is the result of the official program evaluation from Degree Works reflecting all requirements as complete; once the Degree Progress bar indicates 100% completion, your record will be flagged for processing. The Degree Conferral date is final and is not subject to a request for backdating. Each conferral is subject to a seven-day validation.
Once your degree is conferred, conferral fee paid and all hold cleared, you will be able to fill out a diploma form. The diploma and one complimentary transcript will be mailed to the address you provided on your diploma form, you should expect to receive your printed diploma in the mail within 4-6 weeks via USPS. For more information, please visit the Degree conferral page on MyBrandman.
Brandman diplomas are 11”x14”. Souvenir diploma frames are available for purchase on the Chapman Online Bookstore. Be sure to select a Brandman University Diploma Frame when ordering, to ensure the correct size opening for your diploma.
If your question was not answered on the above page, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and someone from our commencement team will respond to you in the coming days.
