The Brandman MyPath programs are made up of three parts. The first involves general education curriculum in which you learn basic concepts from a variety of fields. You will then move on to the business core material that represents the Brandman BBA learning outcomes of accounting, economics and finance, business law and ethics, strategy, information technology, management, leadership and marketing. The final part of the program focuses on the emphasis of your choice.
The Brandman MyPath competency-based BBA degree with an emphasis in management and organizational leadership introduces students to critical business functions such as human resource management, organizational structures and culture, social responsibility, and project management. Graduates will be expected to demonstrate how to effectively implement and manage change, foster employees’ professional development, apply conflict resolution tactics, and utilize project management applications. As future leaders, they will conduct personal assessments to identify and develop their personal philosophies and ethics while understanding how diversity impacts their organizations.
Organizations worldwide, regardless of industry, need leaders and managers in order to mobilize people and drive productivity. The functions that these individuals carry out are both fundamentally different and necessarily linked. Brandman University understands this complementary relationship and uniquely designed this emphasis to fuse together both management and organizational leadership. Managers often serve as administrators by focusing on systems and structures while leaders focus on the people who make them work. By learning to play both roles, students will have significant advantages over their competition in the workforce. Through this comprehensive competency-based program, students will advance not only their careers, but also inspire and motivate their peers and colleagues.
