Irvine Rotary Club donates $500 to Fazio Scholarship fund
Sheila Steinberg, Ph.D., a Brandman University School of Arts and Sciences faculty member and chair of the Vocational Services Committee for the Rotary Club of Irvine, presented Chancellor Gary Brahm with a $500 check from the club to support the Bryan Fazio Scholarship fund.
In accepting the donation on behalf of the fund, Brahm noted that both Rotary International and Brandman University have a long history of supporting veterans. “We’ve been a partner with them for a number of years,” he said.
The Bryan Fazio Scholarship, which is currently accepting applications, was created in 2013 in honor of Navy veteran Bryan Fazio’s perseverance in completing his MBA while diagnosed with an aggressive form of Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Fazio continues to support the university through alumni activities.
The Rotary Club of Irvine recently won the Best Large Club award for its region and meets at 7:30 a.m. at the Rancho San Joaquin Senior Center, 3 Ethel Coplen Way, Irvine.
