Palm Desert Education Expo leads off series of hiring events
The Palm Desert campus held their second annual Education Expo, making use of their new classroom and office facility. School districts from both the Coachella Valley and High Desert areas sent representatives to meet the more than 50 people who came seeking information about education careers at the Feb. 9 evening event.
Annica Meza Dawe, Community and Corporate Relations manager for the campus, said that district representatives commented on the quality and preparedness of the applicants, many of whom were Brandman students or graduates. A mental health facility and Imagine Charter School also sent representatives to the event in the hopes of finding strong job applicants.
Dawe said the campus is considering adding a job expo in later this year to provide career opportunities for Brandman’s high- caliber students and to meet the needs of local organizations outside the education field.
