Higher education highlighted at Business Outlook 2017 event

Vice Chancellor Shelly Neal (Strategic Initiatives) attended the annual Business Outlook 2017 event hosted by the Greater Irvine Chamber of Commerce.  Neal is a member of the Greater Irvine Chamber board of directors. 

The event focused on the economic status of Orange County and the state and included the need for supporting and investing in K-12 and higher education.  The keynote speaker was Todd Buchholz, global economist and market expert, who was joined by panelists Bill Maurer, dean of UCI’s School of Social Sciences; Stergios Skaperdas, UCI;  David Neumark, UCI; and Lucy Dunn, president and CEO of the Orange County Business Council.
