Extended Ed team reaches out to those in need

The entire staff of the School of Extended Education turned their team meeting into a volunteer effort to help the Families Forward program in Irvine.

They labeled, sorted, counted up inventory and stocked pantry shelves with food donations made over the holidays but that still needed to be processed and shelved.

According to Families Forward, one of the fastest-growing segments of the homeless population is working families with children. The combination of the high cost of basic living, including rent, transportation and childcare, and a lack of affordable housing puts many families at risk.

Helping out post-holidays is another way that #BrandmanCares.
