Brandman Cares: Online campus holds successful food drive
The Online campus exceeded its goal in its third annual food drive to aid the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. It’s part of the Online Campus Staff Development Committee’s way of giving back to the community.
“The online campus does the food drive each year during the holidays because we are passionate about giving back to the community. We realize that many families struggle to put food on the table not just during the holidays, but throughout the year. Many employees on our team reside in Orange County, so this is our way of giving back to the community. The Online campus also opens the food drive to other departments, staff, faculty and students at the Central Office,” said Mitali Gadhia, one of the organizers.
The Second Harvest Food Bank serves charity organizations within the county who feed about 200,000 hungry people per month. This year the Online campus filled eight boxes, exceeding their six-box goal.
“We want to thank everyone within the Brandman community for helping us collect food so that we can help fight hunger within our community,” said Gadhia.
The food drive is one of many ways #BrandmanCares.
