Brandman campus director, Extended Education dean highlighted in media reports

December 01, 2016 by Cindy O'Dell

cropped-BrandmanLogoSM.jpgWhen U.S. News and World Report needed someone to talk to about the value of taking online classes to help qualify for graduate school, they turned to Nancy Salzman, dean of the School of Extended Education: “When picking an online postbac course, it’s critical for prospective students to verify with potential grad schools that credits will transfer, says Nancy Salzman, dean of the School of Extended Education at Brandman University. That’s often determined by a school’s accreditation, she says. If it’s regionally accredited, credits ‘will be most likely accepted by another college or university, so that they don’t end up taking courses that they can’t use for degree completion,’ she says.” The full story is available here.

Mary Ellen Shief, campus director at NAS Whidbey Island in Oak Harbor, Washington, was featured in the Whidbey News-Times, which traced her journey from receptionist to academic advisor to campus director. The full story is available here.
